Dear curvy church girl,You were never meant to fit in. You were meant to belong.

Faith doesn't require you to erase yourself.

You can love God deeply and still be discovering your identity. You can be feminine, confident, stylish, curvy, ambitious to Glorify God, creative, and unapologetically yourself AND still be a woman of God.

One thing to try

This month, try this: Stop asking, "How do I fit in?" and ask, "who did God create me to be?"

Worth your time

Take a few quiet minutes throughout this month to write down three things you've been tempted to change about yourself just to feel accepted in different spaces, especially church. Then pray over each one and ask God for discernment: Is this something You're asking me to surrender or something I've been taught to be ashamed of? And if you are neurodivergent, this is for you too!

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." -Psalm 139:14

DCCG (Dear Curvy Church Girl) is a space for the conversations we don't always get to have in church: identity, femininity, body image, healing, relationship, purpose, and what it really means to follow Christ while becoming comfortable with the woman HE created you to be.

J. Jenkins is a faith-driven creative, entrepreneur, mentor, and community builder passionate about helping people embrace who God created them to be.

She created Dear Curvy Church Girl from a desire to have honest conversations about faith, identity, belonging, healing, femininity, and purpose—without the pressure to conform.

What started as conversations among women grew into a community for anyone who has ever felt like they had to change themselves to belong.

At the heart of it all is one message:

You don’t have to fit in to belong.
